Get equipped to reach out to pre-believing family and friends at our Faith Equipping Day!
Learn from experienced guest trainers David Mak from Cru Singapore and Esther Ong, current worshipper and ex-staff of Faith! The session on 31 October will cover sharing the gospel and weaving Christianity into daily conversations. On 7 November, we will learn how to prepare and share our personal testimony with pre-believers. Attend both sessions to acquire a more comprehensive set of evangelism soft skills!
Our ministry for Outreach & Social Concerns will also be sharing briefly on how we can apply these evangelism soft skills in our Adopt-A-Block (AAB) outreach programme. Join us and kickstart your personal journey in One Mission!
Faith Equipping Day will be conducted via Zoom and registration is required. Sign up online by 25 October, or visit our Church Office during office hours for a hardcopy registration form.
Guest Trainer: David Mak
David spent the first eight of his early years on Cru staff trawling campus grounds to have conversations with tertiary students on life and faith. Excited to see young people take next steps on their faith journey, he continues to mentor students and young adults even as an Operations & Digital Strategies staff with Cru Singapore. David recharges by staring up at blue skies on a picnic mat, joined enthusiastically by three young kids and his lovely wife, Janice.
David’s session on “Conversational Evangelism” equips participants to bridge everyday conversations to spiritual topics. Using simple conversation starters and an effective Gospel-sharing framework, help others to go on their journey of seeking God and finding Him. With lots of role-play and practice sessions, be empowered to live as a Spirit-filled witness for God!
Guest Trainer: Esther Ong
Esther served as a member of Faith’s Pastoral Team for over 20 years and was an overseas Mission worker in two Asian countries for about three years. She is now one of Faith’s local mission workers with Interserve Singapore. Together with a team, she conducts trainings for churches and individuals who are interested and engaged in reaching out to a specific people group in Singapore. She can speak Indonesian fluently, which she claims is better than her Mandarin.
Esther will be sharing on “Telling Christ’s Story Through Me: Sharing Our Personal Testimony” during her session on 7 November.
