Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a time of penitence and renewal 40 days leading to Resurrection Sunday. Lent is a season of preparation during which we anticipate and grasp the deep significance of the death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Resurrection Sunday) of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
This year’s Ash Wednesday service is combined with Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church. They have invited Rev Marjorie J. Thompson, a Presbyterian Minister and well-sought after speaker on Christian spirituality, who will be sharing the Word in English with Mandarin translation.
